Hancock may be bullet-proof. But Will Smith proved on the weekend he is review-proof. Despite mostly lousy notices for his dysfunctional superhero movie, Hancock lived up to great box-office expectations.
Pundits predicted a five-day score of over US $100 million for the Smith film over the long U. S. July 4 weekend. And that’s what Hancock did and then some, earning a whopping $107.3 million its first five days, including a respectable $66 million on the weekend.
